You know that lovely radiant flush to the complexion you get when you’ve just come in from a day on the ski slopes (or just a very chilly day outside, if skiing isn’t your thing)? Well, so does the team at Chanel and they’re such fans of that particular gleam that for the first time they’ve created a Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow beauty collection. It sits alongside their already very legendary Les Beiges Healthy Glow range (the cream-gel bronzer is justifiably the stuff of cult status).
So, what makes for creating that perfect Verbier vibe? Well, for starters a Glow Primer in three shades (£48). But don’t think of this as just a step before makeup, for it also works well alone to simply add a lovely sheen to the skin, bring the face to life for an ideal no-make-up-make-up and to give a moisturising boost (there are no particles in the formula so it isn’t shimmery). Or use it as a very natural-looking highlighter applying a dash to the tops of cheeks (and at the bridge of the nose just between eyebrows can also be a flattering place to apply it).
The accompanying three blushes (embossed with snowflakes) offer a light but buildable just-in-from-the-coldness look to the cheeks (£54) and there are three new shades of the tinted lip hydrating Rouge Coco Baume (£34) with a light pink (Chiling Pink), a very ’60s mauve beige (Keep Cool), and a deep browny pink (Cocoon); remember you can also always dab these on cheeks for a rosy hint of colour. There are similar hues to the Eyeshadow palette and the Le Vernis in this collection comes in two very snowy-appropriate colours of Glaciale white and Skieuse frosted pink (£29).
So now whether you’re skating through life in Gstaad or Grimsby, you can channel some Chanel chalet chic – without a moon boot in sight.
