Beauty Finds is Ten’s new, online series where beauty authority Edwina Ings-Chambers dissects her must-have beauty finds each month.
The Sleep Aid: If you’re going for zen, or at least some more zzzzs in your life, then try reaching for Vocā, a new aromacology brand that’s all about priming you for sleep. With three fragrances, all haute rather than hippy, and inspired by the continents of Africa, Asia, and the Mediterranean (Dreams of Africa is the bestseller with notes of frankincense, Neroli, and blue Tansy flower) it has serious luxury and relaxing feels. Choose from a pillow mist, a rollerball fragrance, or a diffuser elixir to help to wind down – or even a combination of all three. And then … breathe. From £36, shop here.

The Easy Makeup: Reeson, the beauty brainchild of the influencer known as Really Ree, is all about easy to use but big reward beauty products. Her most recent offering: The Lid Elixir (£28). Available in one shade this is like a tinted serum for lids that delivers a hit of hydration as well as a sheen of flattering-to-all-skin-tones shimmering champagne shadow. Shop here.

The bathroom glow-up: What’s the latest aesthete essential to stand alongside your Aesop soap and Buly boar bristle toothbrush on your bathroom shelf? It’s Selahatin, the chicest oral care you could find, all housed in sleek white tubes and elegant glass bottles. Offering toothpaste, mouthwash, and oral sprays it isn’t just about the look but also the flavours that all feel more like fine fragrance concoctions; offerings include Snowfall (peppermint, sweet mint, menthol) and High on the Beach (grapefruit oil, cassia vera cinnamon, peppermint). It’s like the Byredo of mouthcare. From £19, shop here.

The Venue: the latest facial destination comes courtesy of the Omorovicza Institute in the heart of London’s Mayfair. This luxury skincare brand with its roots in Hungarian thermal spa culture has created one of the most elegant and restful spaces in the business. The treatments are also top-notch, of course, and include traditional facial massage techniques to deliver gravity-defying results. From £200, shop here.

The Tweakment: It’s all about Ameela right now, says the tweakment maestro Dr. Wassim Taktouk from his discreet Knightsbridge clinic. What’s that? Well, it’s made of polynucleotides that are derived from salmon DNA – and delivers very natural-looking results. It kickstarts your own collagen and hyaluronic production, neutralises free radicals, and improves blood flow where it’s injected. The result: juicer-looking skin. It’s already big in Korea and now it’s gaining traction here. You’ll need three treatments to reap maximum rewards. From £495, take a closer look here.
The collab: If you’re looking to just burn the candle at one end right now then get your hands on a D’orsay x Lrnce candle while you still can. With warming wintery notes of clove, cinnamon, incense and sandalwood all housed in specially designed ceramic pots by the sought after Morrocan lifestyle brand Lrnce, these limited-edition designs are well worth seeking out and will live on long after they’ve burned their last. From £90, available here.

The Complexion Reviver: In need of an instant boost? The new Katherine Daniels Anti-Fatique Mask (£40) will set you right in only two minutes. A gel-texture, this rescue remedy is applied to clean skin and then wiped on 120 seconds later to reveal a more vibrant and rested-looking visage. It’s almost like a magic trick. Shop here.

The Bodycare: It isn’t a case of only body lotions in the building, but it is a seriously growing category and body products are definitely more results driven these days. Selena Gomez with her Rare Beauty range has leapt into the arena with her Find Comfort Hydrating Body Lotion which includes power ingredients such as niacinamide and ashwaganda and wraps them up in a lightweight formula with uplifting notes of lemon, rhubarb, jasmine (£18, can be found here). There’s also a hand cream and an aromatherapy pen.

The Fragrance: If you’re a Fornasetti fan – and who isn’t – then you’ll be very pleased to know that their three classic candle aromas are now available as fragrances. Imaginazione (thyme, cedarwood, amber) is currently the top seller but expect Giardino Segreto (tomato leaves, myrrh, sandalwood – and very Sisley’s Eau de Campagne reminiscent) and Frutto Proibito (anise, jasmine, vanilla) to give it a run for its money. Speaking of money, the bad news is that these don’t come cheap at £480 each. But the bottles, as you’d expect, are incredibly decorative and if you’re already one the brand’s interiors fans then this probably seems like a reasonable enough price tag. Shop here.

The tip: Give your hair a new year detox, advises colourist Zoe Irwin at the Nicola Clarke @ John Frieda salon. ‘The quality of hair isn’t talked about enough with colour,’ says Zoe. But if it’s in a good state beforehand it can make all the difference to the end result, she says. Whether in salon or a DIY job at home, use a shampoo to take out copper build-up and treat the scalp with a dedicated scrub (Virtue does a good one) – be sure to massage it in with the pads of your fingers to really get the blood flowing. Then apply a bonding treatment and you can finish by applying a glaze. Zoe calls it a radiance reset for hair – I think of it as the hair equivalent to the no-make-up make-up look.
