Italian luxury house Dolce and Gabbana just dropped its delectable new fragrance and beauty collection – a sultry, seductive offering aptly entitled Devotion. Announcing the launch via its Instagram on September 2, the dolce vita-inspired campaign stars a red-lipped model as she sweeps through sun-soaked cobbled streets behind the lens of French photographer Hugo Comte.
On offer is a long-lasting, no-transfer Liquid Lipstick in Mousse that will paint your pout with an intense satiny finish as well as a glossy, ultra-black Extreme Volume Mascara that claims to last for an astounding 36 hours. For the face, there’s a radiant, oil-infused Illuminating Face Powder that looks lush on all skin tones. And the crème de la crème of the collection is an upcoming ambrosial fragrance that will make your mouth water. A delicious blend of vanilla, orange blossom and candied citrus, concocted by perfumer Olivier Cresp, its like a creamsicle for your skin. It’s sweet, but not saccharine, with undertones of rum and powdered soap.
Spring-boarding off the brand’s popular pouch of the same name, the packaging dons the decadent, golden Sacred Heart detailing found on its predecessor, a reference to the church-going culture so common in the heart of traditional, Italian villages. The mascara, lipsticks and powder are readily available, whilst the perfume is set to be released on October 1 on Harrods’ online platform – so keep your eyes – and nose – peeled.
Starting the pivot into direct operations earlier this year, the release showcases founder’s Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana efforts to up the brand’s beauty presence. Telling the story of desire and – of course – devotion, you can discover the new release here.
