Rihanna has cemented herself as the queen of the pregnancy reveal. In January of last year, she paraded the streets of Harlem clad in a sugary pink, vintage Chanel puffer – her baby bump proudly on display and drenched in jewellery, also courtesy of Chanel. Last night, she announced that she was pregnant with her second child whilst suspended mid-air, on a floating stage, in front of 63 thousand people at the 57th Super Bowl.
For her first major live performance in seven years, the star blazed through her half-time show with a medley of her biggest hits – including “Only Girl (In The World)”, “Pour It Up”, and “Umbrella” – wearing a custom Loewe flight-inspired jumpsuit and sculpted breast plate, and two Alaïa puffers (one bolero, another floor-length) which appeared to pay tribute to André Leon Talley and his beloved Norma Kamali sleeping bag coat.
