Get Ready To Hit The Slopes In Dior’s Ski Menswear Capsule Collection

It’s time to hit the slopes, boys! At least, that’s what the Dior lads are getting up to in a new ski capsule collection imagined by Kim Jones. In pursuit of Dior’s exploration of sportswear, it’s a chilly range of protective equipment and winter weather wardrobe must-haves. Including body armour, helmets and masks, you’ll be unencumbered by the elements. While down jackets, cozy knits, salopettes and ski-suits created in collaboration with Japanese sportswear specialist, Descente, demonstrate excellent alpine artisanship.

Discoverable from October 13, fresh accessories such as Dior Explorer Bags are reconceived in technical fabrics and adorned with the CD diamond signature – talk about icy. The sturdy lace-up track-sole ankle boots will have you stomping through meters of snow or shredding the slopes too, but either way you’ll be the slickest chalet boy on the capped summits. These threads go from hazy mountain mornings to après-ski amusements with as much ease and levity as champagne powder.

To top it all off, the Swedish brand Ak Ski developed an effervescent gradient graphic snowboard in collusion with the house. Dior motifs are deployed across black diamond peak knits too, which are fashioned in a deep, violet wine hue that’s accented by sunshine yellow, tangerine orange, fuchsia and snowy white.

Reflective, polarised, sweptback sport sunnies add a certain je ne sais quoi to the collection – who said performance garms can’t be glam? Personally, we’re after the striated logo sweaters. Please forward to our remote mountain village in the Alps, because this winter, we’re slaloming in style.
