We hope your passport’s up to date, because the fashion pack are off on their jollies. After a pandemic-induced break, the luxury destination show is back in action, with brands flocking to all four corners of the globe to showcase their cruise, resort and pre-fall offerings to full effect. While you may not be on top of your own calendar (the struggle is real), we’ve rounded up all this summer’s international outings so you don’t have to. How brilliant are we?
The first stop on our globetrotting tour is the luscious island of Capri, where Camille Miceli will unveil her debut collection for Pucci in a three day experience scheduled April 28-30. An industry adored figure with a pretty impressive CV that includes Azzedine Alaïa, Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel and Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, this is the first time Miceli will lead a house, and what a fitting location to kick things off. Also taking place that same weekend, on April 30, is Dior’s fall 2022 collection, where Maria Grazia Chiuri and co will be jetting off to the wonderful city of Seoul. And if that wasn’t lavish enough for you, Dior have got lined up two more major shows. The first, a Dior Men’s spring 2023 show in Los Angeles on May 19, followed by a cruise extravaganza in Seville – scenic vibes all round. Dior isn’t the only house making good use of its air miles this year. Chanel has two international shows planned: the first being a cruise showcase in Monaco on May 5, followed by a 2021/22 Métiers d’art show in Florence on June 7.
You might be jet lagged just reading that list, but the worldwide trip doesn’t halt there. Louis Vuitton will show its next cruise collection in San Diego on May 12, followed by Alessandro Michele’s next Gucci show, taking place at Castel Del Monte on May 16. Heading stateside, Demna will debut his latest Balenciaga collection in New York on May 22, followed by a Max Mara show in Lisbon on June 28 and a Valentino couture catwalk in Rome closing things out on July 8. Don’t forget to pack your SPF, this is about to be one hell of a trip.
