Can you imagine being not only the face of Chanel’s AW21 pre-collection, but Virginie Viard’s inspiration for the whole thing in the first place? Model and friend of the house, Ola Rudnicka certainly can – because that’s exactly how this beautiful story goes.
This Chanel pre-collection is all about the masculine-inspired silhouettes thanks to Rudnicka’s instinctive masc-fem style. Think an oversized black wool and cashmere coat with a wide collar, a trompe-l’oeil dress and a short grey duffle coat combined with iconic Chanel tweed embellished with sequins and a shiny white leather coat with double C buttoning for the feminine touch. The perfect mix between the two results in a faultless set of modern and relaxed looks.
Aside from Rudnicka’s “very 70s and a bit punk” style, the pre-collection is a much-needed dose of real Parisienne glamour. High leather boots, checked patterns on suits, a play on layering? You want it? Chanel’s got it.
