JordanLuca: Menswear SS22

It goes without saying that it’s been a heck of a year, and Jordan Bowes and Luca Marchetto of JordanLuca couldn’t agree more. But like all great creatives, the duo took such turbulent times as a call for some new, monumental material.

For spring/summer 2022, it’s all about “the anger, grief for all we have lost, yet the longing, the joy and elation for the ways in which we have made it here, all colluding in a triumphant celebration of life and vitality”, explain the pair, who tackled such themes with lightweight summer garms – prepped and ready to put the pandemic behind us.

The collection, one of the brand’s biggest to date, says farewell to last season’s all-black colour palette, making way for a sea of  white, jade green, saffron and flashes of pillar box red on 1950s Cuban silhouettes. The collection is an all-around Brit affair, touching on skinheads, postage stamps, and even bunting, as models strode against towering scrapped cars.

Union Jacks are found stitched in mono-colour, worn alongside punk-inflicted bridal trains, nanny corset knits and sleeveless jumpers, all making up JordanLuca’s ideal Britain. If only our streets were all wearing JordanLuca, what a country that would be.
