We know what you’re thinking: what’s the point of splurging on formal wear and a travel wardrobe when we can’t attend events or travel? But let be real, aren’t you just thirsting to book your next trip? Isn’t the next big event the main thing on your mind right now?
After being stuck inside for a year, Giorgio Armani’s new collaborative collection with Scuderia Ferrari might just be exactly what you need. Giorgio Armani has imagined a dedicated collection of formal fits and travel-ready fashions intended to sponsor and supply drivers and technical team members at Ferrari. Designed to be worn while attending official events and during transfers linked to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Giorgio Armani explained: “Today, more than ever, we need to pull together as a system to promote Italian excellence, creating a synergic dialogue among different disciplines. Ferrari is a world-renowned symbol of Italy, and I am proud of this collaboration. I have created an elegant wardrobe that the race drivers will wear during their travels, hoping that we can all get back moving, ready for the recovery of our country, all of us together.”
The executive men’s wardrobe is a sophisticated selection available exclusively in navy blue. Giving the formal suit a modern twist, it’s crafted from a jacquard wool with a micro-chevron pattern. Paired with a small-collared white shirt, a water-repellent technical wool overcoat and matching accessories, including a tie, a belt and shoes, this is the ideal get-up for all that’s to come post-pandemic. For women, Giorgio Armani created a classic-cut suit in a soothing navy wool fabric, a crew-neck shirt in double silk georgette, a technical cady overcoat, a functional shoulder bag and snug, nappa leather pumps.
With comfort and practicality coming to the fore, the travel wear collection comes with all the necessities: trainers, gloves, a hat and scarf, and refreshing ready-to-wear garments. We couldn’t think of a more fitting attire to step into the outside world in.
