Whilst Riccardo Tisci may be a deft hand in shapeshifting Burberry into fresh, exciting iterations, the designer is never one to abandon the brand’s past. That’s because within his exploration for newness, Tisci uses the codes which have built Burberry to be the British fashion powerhouse it is today to challenge, embrace and deconstruct convention.
This alone makes Burberry’s Future Archive a smart move. The limited-edition capsule collection was designed exclusively to offer modern interpretations of Burberry classics, rooted in the brand’s rich outerwear heritage. Modelled here by Jourdan Dunn and Adrian Chabada, in a campaign photographed by Alessio Bolzoni, each piece comes stamped with an edition number: sky-rocketing the value of your buy from the jump.
Collection highlights include diamond-quilted coats and ace bombers, as well as chunky olive green scarfs and nylon bucket hats that unzip to become visors. There’s also the Cube bag, a nifty going out number that’ll look just as good on an evening stroll as it would doing your best Beyoncê impression on the dancefloor. This is a prime opportunity to grab your own slice of Burberry history, don’t wait up.
