JW Anderson Hosts an Art Fare in Soho

JW Anderson brings craft into everything he does and just in time for your Christmas list, the designer has opened a shoppable exhibition at his Soho store.

Setting A Hare In The China Shop is a joint show for the talented ceramicist Akiko Hirai and the animal paintings of Ivan Kochkarev. The pair have come together around the theme of Soho and its reputation for louche conviviality. Kochharev’s paintings aren’t for sale here but Hirari’s highly collectable ceramics are. Her ceramic wine goblets and saki sets (a tribute to Soho’s drinking dens) sit alongside her impressive urns and vases.

This tiny store is fast becoming a hub of artistic collaboration and taste-making. Judging by the number of red “sold” spots next to many of the pieces at the private view, the ceramics collecting craze is raging hot. So do your mantlepiece a favour and get down there before it’s all gone.

Setting A Hare In The China Shop’ is open until December 20 at JW Anderson’s Soho flagship store.
