Is it that time of year again already? You bet it is! Get your glad rags on as The Fashion Awards are taking place this Thursday evening. Although we won’t all be able to pile into the Royal Albert Hall this time around, the British Fashion Council is taking the award ceremony digital this year – scrapping the original categories to honour 20 individuals and brands who will each receive a 2020 Fashion Award.
As with the last two iterations of the annual ceremony, this year, the BFC will spotlight a cohort of young creative talents from around the world with its 2020 New Wave: Creatives List. Celebrating 50 trailblazers from a variety of fields – including activists, hair and makeup artists and image-makers – this year’s list includes cover star of the latest issue of 10 Magazine, Kai-Isaiah Jamal, as well as 10 Men’s Senior Fashion Editor at Large, Ola Ebiti.
Each of the finalists will be celebrated as part of The Fashion Awards film, premiering this Thursday, which will spotlight the leaders of change amongst the industry. We for one cannot wait.
