When it comes to the iconic Dior Saddle Bag, if Carrie Bradshaw had one, we simply have no option but to add one to our Christmas wish list. After first hitting the Dior catwalk in 1999 for John Galliano’s SS00 collection, the bag immediately became the first noughties It bag. Everyone from Beyoncé to J-Lo had to get their hands on this Dior staple. Two decades later, Maria Grazia Chiuri brought back the Y2K staple for the house’s Fall 2018 collection. This time around, however, the house’s menswear designer – Kim Jones – has given the boys a chance to channel their inner Carrie or Paris Hilton, if they’re feeling up for it!
The new bag, which is a part of the AW20 menswear collection, now comes in a winter-ready material to keep all your belongings toasty warm as well as safely stored. The Dior Oblique Tapestry’s “infinite softness brings a delicate, modern touch to any silhouette, for a resolutely Dior allure,” reads the press release.
Finished with black leather trims and tassels, the bag carries more than just your wallet and phone – evoking an updated edgy feel that came with the success of the 1999 original. The wool embroidery covers not only the Saddle Bag but also a Rider Backpack and the B23 Sneaker. We’ll take one of each, please!
The Dior Oblique Tapestry Saddle Bag is available online and in select stores now.
