Hostess with the mostess, Miss Jason is London’s answer to Wendy Williams. Always dressed head to toe in only the finest garms, his YouTube series Jason’s Closest follows the presenter as he explores the weird, wild and absolutely wacky corners of the UK’s club scene. Since launching the series, he has become not only a national treasure, but an undisputed fashion darling. This past weekend at the inaugural digital London Fashion Week, Miss Jason appeared in the Liam Hodges and Charles Jeffrey Loverboy showcases, both of which served as fundraisers for LGBTQIA+ grassroots projects for people of colour. Now Jason is back to fundraise once more, this time through an extra special Depop charity shop. Cleaning Out My Closet with Miss Jason will see the host hold a designer sale from today until June 21, where 100 per cent of the profits will be donated to UKQTIBIPOC; an emergency relief fund set up to provide short term support to queer, trans and intersex POC in the UK who have been affected by Covid-19.
This isn’t any old sale, we must add. Designers who have donated pieces include Alan Crocetti, Ashish, Martine Rose, Art School, Saul Nash, Gentle Monster, Liam Hodges, Nasir Mazhar, and Xander Zhou. And that’s not all. Some of Britain’s biggest talents across all creative fields have donated their own vintage pieces to the sale. How do you fancy owning something that has once lived in the wardrobe of the likes of FKA Twigs, Lily Allen, Mabel, Clara Amfo and Neneh Cherry? Debit cards at the ready!
