Kim Jones and Daniel Arsham Release a ‘Future Relics’ Capsule of Dior Collectibles

Flashback to the SS20 menswear season – and who could forget that mammoth Dior show? Aside from the brilliant tailoring that sauntered down the catwalk, what stood out was the sugary pink set – adorned with a set of monolithic sculptures that spelled out DIOR. You couldn’t scroll down Instagram without seeing at least four influencers posed beside them. These were the work of contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, who always has one eye on the future with his forward-thinking approach to sculptural art. It’s fitting then that Dior’s Artistic Director Kim Jones has turned to Arsham once more to add some modernistic flair to Dior classics. No, we’re not talking about the Bar jacket, but the actual prized possessions of Monsieur Dior himself.

The Future Relics limited-edition art collection sees Jones and Arsham transform a selection of Monsieur Dior’s favourite objects and inspirations into must-have editions to your personal art collections. Take the designer’s 1951 book Je Suis Couturier, which now comes as an eroded jewellery box – ideal for your Dior gems designed by Yoon Ahn of Ambush. Alongside a miniature versions of the Dior lettering that was featured in the show set, Arsham has created pieces that align with his own back catalogue. Ever fancied yourself a pale-pink stone basketball? How about a crystal-infused clock? Or vintage telephone for that matter? Such rarities are a must for giving your living room an essence of that Dior magic – catch it before it’s gone.

The Dior x Daniel Arsham ‘Future Relics’ collection is available in select Dior boutiques now.
