Ermenegildo Zegna Announces a Collaboration with Fear of God

Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the past five or so years, you’ll be well aware we’re currently amongst a menswear revolution. The line between what’s considered “streetwear” and “luxury” is fuzzier than ever, with esteemed heritage houses moving towards collections laden with tracksuits whilst emerging talents are playing their part in pushing a tailoring revival. Traditionalists who have completely discarded this modern take on luxury have faded into ambiguity. Though for those who have embraced street-centric sensibilities with open arms, the decision has garnered them a new flock of devotees.

It’s splendid news then that Ermenegildo Zegna’s Alessandro Sartori is joining forces with street label Fear of God for a capsule collection that marries the former’s immaculate tailoring ability with the latter’s street-centric take on luxury wear. Though no clothes have been previewed yet – the full collection will be March 2nd during Paris Fashion Week – expect a mash-up of elevated craftsmanship with design sensibilities catered to the desires of the contemporary fashion fanatic. If Louis Vuitton’s mash-up with Supreme is anything to go by, be prepared for queues around the block upon the collection’s release. Credit cards at the ready!
