And the Outstanding Achievement Award goes to… Miuccia Prada! Never has there been anyone more worthy of this title than Mrs Prada, a trailblazer for women and a trendsetter living and working in a league of her own. In 40 years she’s been heading the House of Prada, Miuccia has changed the industry in so many ways. On one hand, the visual interpretation of the brand started a revolution, with each of the seasons re-establishing this creative hub of information the rest of the world is looking at for inspiration. But beyond the (flawless) style, Miuccia Prada’s revolution started on the inside – she was one of the first people in the luxury industry to introduce of a new business model based on overseeing all of the processes in product-making, applying rigorous quality criteria throughout all stages of production. An exhibition at the Met, launching of MiuMiu, multiple fashion awards… A fruitful four decades have gone by, and it’s now time for a celebration. In the wondrous space of Royal Albert Hall on the night of December 10th, Miuccia Prada is getting her rightful title. Outstanding Achievement Awardee, it’s her new middle name. Bravissima!
