Fashion with a purpose – that’s a firm yes from us. Louis Vuitton’s partnership with UNICEF has been proving that looking good and doing good goes hand in hand since 2016, when they launched the Silver Lockit. Inspired by Georges Vuitton’s original tumbler lock protecting his client’s most treasured belongings, the bracelet visually carries the LV stamp, sending a message beyond just the French chic element of the house – with every purchase of the piece of jewellery, £100 goes to UNICEF with the purpose of protecting the most vulnerable children around the world.
Today, to mark the 18th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the collaboration is getting its new chapter as LV and UNICEF enlist actress (and Ten’s personal Game of Thrones fave) Sophie Turner to put her own spin on the bracelet. Launching in over 160 Vuitton stores and online, the new look of the bracelet features a Christmas-y colour combo of red and white, with a candy cane-like rope band. It’s the stocking filler of the season and you can quote us on that. As LV urges, we #MakeAPromise to getting one of these for each of our nearest and dearest. In our best Oprah voice, we’re currently yelling: “YOU GET A SILVER LOCKIT AND YOU GET A SILVER LOCKIT AND YOU GET A SILVER LOCKIT!!!!” She is, after all, the queen of giving.
The Louis Vuitton for Unicef Silver Lockit by Sophie Turner is launching today, November 20th in selected LV boutiques and online.
