Stop right now, thank you very much. You need to know what’s happening next June: everyone’s favourite Girls are coming back for a mini UK tour. In only six dates, Sporty, Ginger, Scary and Baby will be filling up stadiums and fulfilling all of our fantasies with a set of greatest girl-power anthems. Starting with Manchester on June 1st 2019, the Spice Girls are heading on a tour simply called after their 1997 blockbuster – Spice World. To our (and everyone else’s) despair, Victoria Beckham aka Posh will be skipping on this summer fest, but singer Jess Glynne is noted as the special guest. Does that mean she’s an honorary Spice Girl? If so, what’s her band name? All these and many more questions are coming about, but for now we’ll have to settle for the Public Announcement video that’s just been released (see above). Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Melanie C are serving some news anchor realness, and we just can’t deny the excitement that’s taking over. Hai, Si, Ja – HOLD TIGHT!
The tickets for Spice World 2019 are going on sale on Saturday November 10th at 10.30am online. Tour dates start from June 1st in Manchester and finish at London’s Wembley Arena on June 15th.
