Oh, Riri… What can’t you do? First music, then fashion, beauty, and now the world of lingerie. Rihanna is the ultimate Jackie of all trades. Launched last night as the closing event of New York Fashion Week, Savage x Fenty revealed their second collection, for Autumn/ Winter 2018. For the brand’s catwalk debut, Rihanna got inspired by the beauty of nature – all the girls (they’re called Savages, you know?) walking down the green catwalk embodied ancient nymphs, emerging from a misty botanical domes and suspended hydroponics in girly lingerie based on traditional silhouettes and updates with quintessentially Riri details.
The Fenty nymphs all looked like they just stepped out of one of Rihanna’s music videos. Wild Thoughts must had been on loud inside the studio while the collection was being designed. As you would expect from the savvy business woman she is, all the pieces were available to buy as soon as the singer/ designer/ all-round superstar took her bow. In her olive-green bodycon dress, she looked the part. Congrats Riri!!
