No one does dreamy as good as Sarah Moon. The photographic superstar is one of those industry legends that has continuously been doing groundbreaking work for decades, and has enjoyed the love from the fashion industry all throughout her career. The first female to shoot a Pirelli calendar, and one of the only women to capture fashion campaigns of biggest major houses (Chanel and Dior included), Moon is a name that formed the contemporary vision of fashion. That’s why it’s no surprise two famed fashion art spaces in Milan have decided to pay homage to her images. In addition to the Sarah Moon, Time at Work exhibition coming to Fondazione Sozzani, Giorgio Armani is hosting an exhibition devoted to the photographer’s work (which also includes the brand’s SS18 campaign). “Timelessness and elegance: this is what fascinates me about the work of Sarah Moon. We are kindred spirits and I have had the pleasure of working with her, discovering a mutual proclivity for simplicity that gets the strongest effect,” Mister Armani shared ahead of the exhibition titled From one season to another. The show will conveniently open during Milan Fashion Week, on September 18th at the brand’s exhibition space – Giorgio Armani/ Silos, and will run until January 6th. What a perfect way to spend your time between the madness of shows – swiftly dipping into the magical world of Sarah Moon’s moody romance. See you there!
