We’ve known since Jacquemus’s Autumn/ Winter 2018 womenswear collection that Mr Simon Porte Jacquemus would be blessing us with menswear. The announcement was made via his hoodie as he ran down the runway, which stated, “New Job L’Homme Jacquemus.” And so it’s been revealed overnight that yes, it’s happening, and quite soon. Good. We don’t like to be kept waiting. On June 25th Jacquemus will officially debut menswear in the South of France. The announcement comes with a photograph of a man and a dog on a cliff in front of the ocean. Fresh. “…super proud that I shot Yoann Maestri, the French Union Inernational Rugby Player as the first Jacqumus man. A new chapter for myself and Jacquemus now begins,” the designer said via press release. Yoann, appears to not be wearing very much clothing. Well, it will be Spring/ Summer 19. We look forward to basking in the French sun come June 25th, bring on all the athletes and models in L’Homme Jacquemus. Clothes or no clothes, we predict the chicest collection of pieces for every fabulous French man – and their lovers. It’s going to be a good menswear season.
