Shock! Horror! In news announced only moments ago via Instagram, everyone’s favourite Muscovite streetwear designer Gosha Rubchinskiy broadcast a cryptic message that seemingly heralds the end of his eponymous label. “We will stop Gosha Rubchinskiy brand as you’ve known it. We will have no more seasonal collections. Instead, something new is coming” read the full statement. Does April Fools Day fall on the 4th April in Russia? Sadly not. Lots of confusion and broken heart emojis have ensued, but the future is not all bleak and the bitterness is not without a certain dose of excitement, for what this hugely talented designer will turn his attentions to next. For now, we’re grateful for all the memories, the Cyrillic hype, the full shell-suits, the shows in deepest Russia and the genius collaborations. Long live Gosha!
