We love a morning at the Fendi show, we are always well fed by fabulous fashun. This was not a snack however, this was a full course Fendi meal. There was a quiet strength in this lot, “Strong women…For strong women. Strong boots, strong bags. That’s it.” Silvia Venturini Fendi told us after the show. Yes, these women had swag in their Western boots with those double Cuban heels, and carrying the new Double F bag. The double F logo was out in Full Force today on fitted pants, bomber style jackets and an off the shoulder dress. Brand us! Chic, moody stormy grey coats in tailored wool checks were full of attitude and money. Women who thrive in Fendi.
In their second collaboration, Instagram artist Hey Reilly reimagined the Fila logo to read Fendi, Roma. Oh the irony of a sportswear label emblazoned on the luxury sweater at Fendi. We’ll take them all. It was another great moment in this movement of clever Instagram arteests. Anything can happen. Boxy shoulders elevated each woman to success, some garment bag-like, cut off over the shoulders. Pleated silk dresses, pale white. So pretty, with the tiniest embroidery, felt like a rush of saintliness. Girls in Fendi can do no wrong. Duh. Supertramp was on play, ’The Logical Song’ opened the show, that electric piano keeping rhythm and ‘Breakfast in America’ for the finale. Yes, take a look at our girlfriend in Fendi, she’s the only one we got. Well, all 47 of them.
