Here’s songstress Selena Gomez, starring for the second time as the face of Coach. This time, it’s their Spring 2018 campaign, and Ms Gomez is no longer draped across the back seat of a car, but instead propped up on the windowsill of her downtown New York apartment. It’s a tough life. “The Coach girl is real – she’s riding the subway or, this season, hanging out in her cool NYC apartment,” said Creative Director Stuart Vevers. By real we assume he means REALly lucky to have an apartment overlooking the Empire State building (sorry)?
In the accompanying film, Ms Gomez prepares for a night of limitless possibility in the city that never sleeps by walking around said apartment in an assortment of Coach looks, while petting a number of gorgeous Coach bags and generally looking rather sultry. Whatever gets you going girl. Among the highlights are some key bags from the Spring 2018 collection, including the greatly anticipated Parker, an entirely new silhouette in quilted nappa leather that launches in February, with alternate versions set to arrive later in the year. On hand to bring the campaign to life were the usual flock of Coach collaborators, including Steven Meisel, Karl Temper, creative director Fabien Baron as well as Pat McGrath and Guido Palau. Dream team.
