For some, the impending festive period signals the gloomy reality of having to actually spend time with one’s extended family. Outrageous! Those annoying cousins you (thankfully) only see once a year, that aunt who spits bits of her food and her dreary second husband, who will invariably corner you to ask the worst question of all: “what are you doing with your life?” Ms Adwoa Aboah on the other hand, newly anointed model of the year and all round super babe, does not share this problem. In a new portfolio shoot by Juergen Teller for Burberry, she can be seen looking very happy, draped across her cousins Alfie and George Husband, Richard Theodore-Aboah and Kwame N’Dow. And we’re not talking the gritted-teeth, I’m-actually-fucking-miserable smile that one is so often forced to summon in photographs at festive family dos – but genuine happiness smiles. The snaps introduce Burberry’s latest collection for January and February, Christopher Bailey’s last before he departs the brand, which features an injection of highlighter neon across both ready-to-wear and accessories, that will be available for purchase from the 26th December onwards – just incase your Christmas haul isn’t up to scratch.
