Fun fact: Witz means joke in German. But you know what’s not a joke? Dan Witz’s photographs – they’re bloomin fabulous. We’re particularly fond of his mosh pit series, which we’ve been oggling at from the safe distance of our screens – the closest you are likely to see any of us get to such a ruckus. The series of photographs are at the heart of Dior Homme’s collaborative collection with the artist, by which we mean, they form the print of each garment, as seen above, covering every square inch. Sure, we’re used to being sandwiched between large sweaty men, but what about wearing said large, sweaty men in the form of a bomber jacket or anorak. Yes please. The works fit perfectly with the ‘HarDior’ collection, providing the sort of underground energy and anger that Kris Van Assche has spoken of before. The clothes themselves are a natural continuation of Dior’s hardcore techno inspired AW17 show, in which the above pieces first featured. Tech-no? Tech-yes, ya mean.
