News from the land of Proenza Schouler – according to reports a la web, the boys look set to launch what is being called a “sister line” which, if said reports are correct, will be called White Label. Word is that the line will be a little more casual than their mainline offering, comprising of denims, t-shirts and the like. And, accordingly, you can expect these pieces to be a lot kinder to your purses/wallets/moneybags – at least compared to their Proenza Schouler offering. Although not much is known about the collection itself – we tried – it will apparently mean a debut collection for Elizabeth Giardina, Proenza’s Vice President of Design, who joined the brand at the beginning of this year.
And a sister line isn’t the only thing that’s changed – last season, the boys chose to show at Paris Couture Week over their native New York. “Jack and I pour our blood, sweat and tears into [the runway],” they told WWD earlier this year.“It definitely has changed a lot since we first started showing. There are still super interesting people showing in New York, but there’s a lot of things that we’re not that interested in in New York.” We’ll give you more when we have it…
