Anya Hindmarch: Ready-to-wear AW17

An icy landscape set the scene for Anya Hindmarch’s AW17 collection. Think: the iceberg that sank the Titanic. And, like both the iceberg and Titanic itself, the show was of gargantuan size. This season our lady was on a journey – a literal and metaphoric one. Literally, in the sense she walked down the mountain that was the set, and metaphorically away to the Nordic regions. Not that she wasn’t prepared. Big furry hat – check. Snow goggles in case of blizzard – check. Bags (duh) in all shapes and sizes – check. No doubt they were filled with ice picks and grappling hooks and things you’d need if you were travelling the tundra. And she even managed to keep it sexy, just in case she bumped into any Vikings on the way. Tiny little shorts in cable knit or latex-like material (kinky) and furry Birkenstocks to keep the focus on her pins. No doubt wherever the wind may take her (hopefully into the arms of a hunk in front of a roaring fire) she’s going to be nice and warm.
