In news that broke, quite literally, moments ago – our most favourite Frenchman, Mr Roland Mouret, has announced that he will be returning to London Fashion Week this February to showcase his Autumn Winter 2017 collection. It’s a homecoming of sorts – Roland showed his very first collection here, and now, as he marks his 20th anniversary as a designer it seems a fitting time to return to the city, a return that will also see the beginning of a year-long celebration of Roland’s journey over the last two decades. Which sounds fab-u-lous. Why have one celebration when you can have an entire year? “I love that London is my creative home and over half my manufacturing base is in Britain – I wouldn’t be able to do what I do anywhere else other than London. London is my home, it’s where my brand has its heart and I’m excited to celebrate such an important milestone here,” said the man himself. Roland’s CEO, Mark Langthorne agreed. “We look forward to the year ahead in London as an incredible opportunity to not only celebrate the history of the brand and Roland’s journey, but also as an opportunity to engage further with our customer and the industry in a key piece of storytelling with hopefully a few surprises along the way.” We’re positively panting with excitement. Welcome home Mr Mouret!
