Last night, in an announcement that was simultaneously broadcast in London and Los Angeles, the nominations for The Fashion Awards 2016 were revealed upon the world. Yes, the British Fashion Awards are no longer, dropping the British to make the awards a truly international affair. Hence the LA part – Dame Natalie Massenet and Caroline Rush representing all things Brit by helming a swanky event in at Soho House in West Hollywood alongside Karlie Kloss, Ambassador for the event’s lead partner Swarovski. At the very same time in London, the nominations were delivered via a screening at the Mondrian Hotel. “The shortlisted nominees prove the incredible talent we are so fortunate to work with both at home and abroad,” said Natalie Massenet. “This year’s ceremony will be thrilling and I look forward to welcoming all our guests to London and to what has become one of the most-anticipated highlights of the global fashion calendar.” The winners, voted for by members of the global fashion industry, will be announced in a glam awards ceremony on the at the Royal Albert Hall. Gird your loins – this one’s going to be ma-hoo-sive. Congratulations to all the nominees!
