It begins! Is Maria Grazia Chiuri the brand new Creative Director of Dior? Well, so say Business of Fashion and their sources whom they call “reliable”. Which means it’s quite likely to be true. According to them, Maria, who is currently at Valentino alongside Pierpaolo Piccioli, will be announced after Dior’s Couture show on July 5th. “I understand that it will be announced after the couture show,” to quote said source’s exact words. If true, it will make her the very first female creative director in the house’s 70 year history. Girl power. For now, it’s unconfirmed – Dior were unavailable to comment. As always – stay tuned.
