Dominic and I are often told that we are like an old married couple by our colleagues here at Ten Towers. We lunch together, we bicker. This afternoon, we are not talking. I can’t exactly remember why. Now, I am apparently spending too much time on Snapchat, and “not giving him enough attention”. “You’re sleeping on the couch tonight,” he tells me. For a variety of reasons, though, we are yet to be legally betrothed. Perhaps it’s because we can never quite find the perfect dress. I need something to skim my sensual curves, he needs something to show off his “snatch bod”. It must be bold, beautiful, fit for the princesses we are. And, because we’re envious people, they must, must be matching. Imagine my delight, then, when the image above dropped into my inbox this morning. There it was – cinched in at the waist, a sprinkling of floral detailing, a statement tuille headpiece – the perfect ten! Was I dreaming? No – I read on – this was a dress cooked up in the very clever brain of Mr Nicola Formichetti, Diesel’s Artistic Director, who created a whole damn mock wedding to celebrate the opening of the brand new Diesel Aoyama and Diesel Black Gold Aoyama stores in Tokyo. Just because he can. It was “a full of remarkable surprises and applause,” apparently. Fabulous.
