We’re always taught that Italian fashion adores sex, and sensuality. Which is why it was refreshing to see what Francesco Scognamiglio cooked up on his hotbed of sin – he was inspired by Strauss operas, but it was the strass you noticed first, fabulous crystal crusted gowns ruffled and slit and embellished to the delectable hilt. It’s the sort of thing that sort of makes you wish the opera was more of an everyday occurrence in your life – either as well-dressed attendee, or maybe belting it out to the back rows I something sparkly to keep all eyes on you. Scognamiglio isn’t one for wallflowers.
