Christopher Shannon is a working class hero – that was the inspiration behind his Autumn/winter 2016 collection (incidentally, it also surfaced earlier in the day at Coach – is a trend emerging?). In the bare bones of a suburban half-built home, Shannon presented his proposals for next winter: super PVC parkas, natty zippy polyester knit tops, padded coats and nippy looking boxer shorts as short-shorts. The whole lot looked like it had been nicked straight off the washing line of a Scouse council estate in 1992. We know Shannon will take that as the highest of compliments.
