“So you wanna be a boxer, in the golden ring?” So sang Cagey Joe the trainer to Leroy in Bugsy Malone – wonder if the Sibling lot (sadly just Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery now, since the death of fellow founder Joe Bates) were taking notes? Because their latest show punched like a south-bound freight train, packed with boxing inspo inspired by Jean Michel Basquiat, who frequently painted them; and Grace Jones. Who… erm… once punched television compete Russell Harty? The colourful knits, giant boxing mitts and buffed out bods were great fun, in the Sibling mould. Now, tell me just one thing – can I buy the finale knit robe?
