Creative Directors, Kenzo
Since 2011 Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have been throwing a fresh light on Kenzo’s Jungle Jap heritage.
That light for us is a bright Californian sunshine, given that both the brand’s creative directors hail from Los Angeles and the house’s new aesthetic always feels subtly street inflected and somehow born of the city. There has been a revving of brand codes that has reached the point of a resounding, triumphant roar, cementing a bold new future. The roar pun is fully intended – with the central role that the now-iconic Kenzo tiger has played in all of this.
