Carrie Bradshaw once said that handbags are to women are what balls are to men, but if this is the case, then what exactly is a handbag to a man? An extra pair of balls? Great news. These ones here though are not handbags, although we are sure Givenchy wouldn’t mind if you were to carry it in your hand, but backpacks, for which to carry things on your back, like say: spare pair of knickers, a bottle of wine, whatever. Riccardo Tisci has always loved a backpack (who doesn’t: they are very practical) but this time they are inspired by two things: Franck Marshall’s photographs of the Botswana Renegades and Berlin’s Club Kids. Think: studs, bit of fur, a skull, tassels and crossbones. The sort of bag you wouldn’t want to bump into on a dark alley. But you would want to wear on your back. Desperately.
