If the new Diane Von Furstenberg ad campaign was a t-shirt, it would be one of those “I <3 NYC” ones. Why, you ask? The campaign film is a love letter to the Big Apple and falling in love with someone *in* the Big Apple. Narrated by the talented young poet Rachel Kang, the fabulous Luna Bijl, Yoon Young Bae, Angok Mayen, and Cara Taylor strut the streets of NYC in their best Diane Von Furstenberg, which means prints, prints and more prints. A colourful, fun and real approach to clothing.
British designer Jonathan Saunders has been at the brand for over a year now, and in that time has nailed exactly what the modern DVF woman wants to wear. To accompany the film, the campaign images feel like candid photos snapped by your BFF, if your BFF happened to be Oliver Hadlee Pearch. The whole thing has us wanting to rush off to New York and fall in love, or at least stomp around in a orange fun fur jacket. Ideally both.
