Born from a mutual fidelity for craft, textile excellence, master craftspeople and a synchronicity with nature, Zegna has tapped Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand, The Elder Statesman, for a colourful capsule collection created with Zenga’s signature Oasi Cashmere. Committed to being fully certified traceable by 2024 and sourced from prestigious producers in Mongolia, Oasi Cashmere is an offshoot dedicated to the expression of the world’s finest raw material from fibre to finished product. Its mantra: “crafted for tomorrow.”
The uncompromising cross pollination sees Alessandro Sartori’s impeccable men’s wardrobe mutated by Bailey Hunter of The Elder Statesman. Imbued with a californian sense of luxury and liquid lightness, everything on offer is super soft, not just to the touch, but in silhouette too. Archival Zegna styles are reimagined in off-kilter patterns, rich textures and cosy, relaxed cuts that are both easy to wear and easy to style – they go with just about anything. There are nostalgic Southern California sun-bleached flannels, plaid bermuda shorts and loose trousers, to go alongside the bucket hats and fitted baseball caps.
Initially announced with a teaser look at Zegna’s AW23 show, the link-up asserts itself in every moment – it’s for indoors and out, work and play, sunshine and moonlight. “At the origin of this partnership are two companies who value the way things are made,” said Greg Chait, Founder and CEO of The Elder Statesman.
The collaborative Oasi Cashmere collection will be available across Zegna and The Elder Statesman retail channels globally from September.
