Change is the only constant. Y/Project’s latest offering reflected on that with a collection of highly technical clothes designed to transform, mutate and adapt. Shouldn’t that also be a survival mantra for the Corona years? As the models stood, the Y/Project team went to work on their outfits – untying drawstrings, pulling zippers and peeling poppers. So a simple T-shirt was twisted into a backless top. A black tracksuit became white, ultra baggy trousers mutated into ultra baggy shorts. Mini skirts evolved into maxis and a shopper bag could be spliced in two and worn as a printed scarf.
These mighty morphing clothes can be worn a multitude of ways, depending on the wearer’s whim. Freedom, self-expression, individuality – these values were stitched into every piece. Y/Project’s playful urban wardrobe puts the wearer firmly in charge of their look. There’s no right or wrong. You decide.
