After three years away from the catwalk, Victoria Beckham admitted showing in Paris for the first time was a big moment for her. The designer was keen to show a new, more complex look. There were more bodycon shapes (she’s riding high off the launch of her VB body range). The collection erred towards the night, with lingerie slip dresses, designed to look as if they were falling off the body. Add knit body suits with swishy little tassel mini skirts, a plethora of sheer chiffon bias-cut dresses and leather jackets worn with nothing underneath and there was plenty of sass and sexuality.
The designer attributed that to all the time she’s been spending in Miami, and the way the women there dress with total body confidence whatever their shape. Throw in a fun tassel clutch bag (which looked like a pedigree lapdog from afar) and the new VB woman is good to go.
