Salvatore Ferragamo has a new attitude. It is an attitude. One we plan to adopt. Fulvio Rigoni, head of womenswear ready to wear has been working hard in that Ferragamo lab. Spring Summer 2017 was like a well concocted potion. A successful experiment. The ingredients were moments in the archives sprinkled with Rigoni’s modern moves to create a collection so hot right now. All that Salvatore Ferragamo goodness fused into high waisted pencil skirts a go go that flared out, ruched sleeves and handmade floral prints. Oversizing felt sporty and streamlined getting those SS17 bonus points. The ladies towered in serious chunky platform colourful sandals that was their foundation. It was all those chic, never outrageous, classic, forever Ferragmo generational pieces with a kick. In a time where there’s so much change and everyone is trying to stay relevant, Ferragamo have done what they do so brilliantly, bringing it into the future. They’re evolving, modernising their DNA. It’s because the Salvatore Ferragamo girl knows who she is. She is a confident, empowered force. No doubt here.
