Wolfgang Tillmans At Maureen Paley

This is a tad belated but we’ve been busy, you know, putting together a big fat magazine and stuff. But, as we emerge from our dark hole ready to be reintegrated into society, we are finally catching up with various cultural happenings in the world. Lucky then, that we’ve just received word that Wolfgang Tillmans’ ah-mazing exhibition at the Maureen Paley has been extended until August 7th. Fab. It’s his eighth solo exhibition at the gallery, the work focussing on “the visible and invisible borders that define us.” The highlight is The State We’re In, A (2015) that, according to the accompanying notes, “documents the open water of the Atlantic Ocean where international time lines and borders intersect.” Oooh. There will also be a display of his anti-Brexit posters, alongside images of European observatories, photographs of the path of the sun and a picture of blood going through tubes. Something for everyone, then. Swiftly cancelling all other weekend plans immediately. It’s on until next Sunday.
