Welcome To Diesel World – no, not a convention for those who enjoy sniffing the sweet scents of car exhaust pipes but an exhibition this past weekend for those Australians who appreciate a nice piece of Diesel clothing. 38 years of it, in fact. Held in Melbourne and celebrating both the Melbourne Fashion Festival and the launch of e-commerce in Oz, the exhibition narrates the story of Renzo Rosso’s “most anti-fashion fashion brand”, alongside its vision for the future.

“To see the exhibition debut in Melbourne is incredible, we’re excited to continue its journey in this electrifying city, where we invested before most international fashion brands in the early 90’s,” Rosso said. “This is 38 years of brave innovation, of what we dared to do and what drives us, it is about Diesel but it is also about revolutionizing the idea of a lifestyle brand: Diesel forged a new template.”

Mr Nicola Formichetti, Diesel’s Artistic Director (and fabulous face of of our Up Close and Personal series that you can watch here) added, “I’m really excited to visit Australia for the first time and launch the Diesel heritage exhibition, I’m also very much looking forward to exploring the cultural and artistic scene of Melbourne and the creative energy of the city”.
