There’s always a few holidays vids we can count on when it comes to getting us in the mood for snow, trees and carols. There’s the Coca Cola ad. The John Lewis ad. The iconic Spice Girls Tesco ads. And then there’s the Burberry holiday campaigns, always one of the first ones to come out and make us realise it’s that time of the year again. This holiday season is no different – the just-released Christmas campaign is the first one under creative direction of Riccardo Tisci and stars musician M.I.A., actor Matt Smith, supermodel Naomi Campbell (a Burberry festive campaign veteran) and her mum Valerie Morris-Campbell, actress Kristin Scott Thomas as well as the director of the campaign herself, artist Juno Calypso.
It’s a surrealist world celebrating the charm of the Brit eccentricity during Christmas time, but instead of your average comedic jumpers and Santa hats, there’s some pretty fabulous tailoring and eveningwear, fitting in with the modern vision of Burberry. In addition to the looks from the Pre-Fall 2019 collection curated by Tisci, Naomi and mum Val are rocking some plaid-on-plaid action from the Vivienne Westwood collab collection. Yes, we need that printed beret tout suite And what about the TB-logo seat upholstery in Kristin’s chic train? That’s some serious holiday commute goals. Ho, Ho Ho – take us anywhere!
The 16-piece Burberry x Vivienne Westwood capsule collection launches in-stores and online on December 6th.
