Vogue Italia’s sepia supermodel festooned cover, which celebrates the magazines landmark anniversary follows the long held tradition that a woman should never reveal her age. There is literally no sign of a wacking great ‘50’ anywhere? Needless to say- Franca Sozzani and a horde of privileged guests said it loud and proud at Piazza Castello 27 this weekend, where Style.com’s Tim Blanks declared that ‘if something catastrophic had happened- the fashion world as we know it, would have ceased to exist.’ At a party like that some of the team are probably still nursing heads that feel fairly catastrophic, so we’d ask that they imagine our ‘congrats’ uttered very softly- in a totally uncharacteristic fashion.
