Another chapter in the Victoria Beckham evolution. On a sombre day in New York City, it begun with two minutes of silence before the show began. And if the show itself wasn’t sombre, it was tranquil. As usual, VB’s girls were the epitome of elegance. Let’s call it quietly empowered. And they wore heavy gleaming satin, layered body con. Inky midnight blue narrow pants and three-quarter tailored frock coats. Matching soft messenger bags were slung across their bodies. Splashes of orange. Call it an urban fluidity. And ever so slightly boyish. But in a VB way, of course. And gone are those tight pencil skirts, replaced now by asymmetric dresses with movement and colours tempered by floral prints. A bright, fresh start to the day. Effortless as per.
