Valentino Shanghai Fashion Show Iapm Flagship

VALENTINO: SHANGHAI FASHION SHOW & IAPM FLAGSHIP STORE LAUNCH

Now that we spend pretty much the same amount of time ooh-ing ahh-ing at, and more importantly buying between season collections as we do those traditionally shown every six months, it makes perfect sense that Creative Directors of Valentino Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli should show a totally seasonless selection of wares as they did in Shanghai yesterday evening. Mixing pret-a-porter, accessories and Haute Couture into a single stampeed of trademark Valentino red, the colour held double significance in the context of China. If that advert for a certain International bank is to believed it’s often used to symbolise prosperity in the new year. Neatly it makes total sense for the brand having just opened a palace of a Flagship in Shanghai’s IAPM Mall along Huai Hai Zhong Road- just in time for the Holiday season rush, in the heart of the cities business district. The 2 storey building boasts 790 meters retail space, and marks an important step in the brands International sprawling. A pre-cursor to future collections being targeted specifically to certain markets? If so, someone please despatch me to whatever glamorous locale is next? I’ll be well behaved, I promise.
