The Valentino girl had an air of Tudor lady-in-waiting this season. It was the rich embroidery, the lantern sleeves, the plaited hair, the skirts that flowed down from tight bodices, the lace and the velvet, and the colour palette of reds and golds. But though she had a whiff of fifteenth-century aristocracy about her, her beauty carried through to the here and now in 2015. Valentino was, as it always is, a breathtaking sight of beauty.
